DOUBLE Canoe or Kayak Self-Guided Tour Nordale Landing to Pioneer Park. Float this scenic section of the lower Chena River. Typically takes 4 to 6 hours to paddle. Canoe Alaska will set you up with a double kayak or canoe, paddles, and a life vest. For this trip, Canoe AK will shuttle you and the boat(s) to the put-in at the Nordale Road bridge near North Pole. With a steady, easy paddle this trip will take you down the river as it winds through Fort Wainwright and downtown Fairbanks, ending at Pioneer Park near Peger Road, where Canoe Alaska will pick you up.
