The Furthest North Chairlift on the Continent. Skiland is a lift-served ski and snowboard area at Cleary Summit on the Steese Highway, 20 miles north of Fairbanks, Alaska.
Skiland’s ski season tends to run from early December through mid April. We are open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, weather permitting. Follow their daily updates on Facebook to see current lift weather status. Enjoy the double chair, the Silver Star Express Lift, and the Sunny Side Wonder Carpet. The Silver Star Express will take you up 1027 feet of vertical elevation over 3882 feet of travel, on your 10 minute ride to the top enjoy the views of fresh corduroy and the surrounding mountains. Skiland provides a large range of beginner to expert trails across our mountain with daily grooming on many of the trails.
